Core Values

Our core values are the heart of who we are and how we live. They guide our choices, shape our community, and remind us to walk with kindness, integrity, and respect for all life. Perfection isn’t required, yet we strive each day to create harmony within ourselves, with one another, and with the Earth. Through this practice, we nurture a way of life that brings more peace, joy, and purpose to all we do.

Our Goals

We live free, in kindness, and harm none.
In word, thought, and deed, we cause no injury to ourselves, to others, or to the Earth. Instead, we treat all beings as we wish to be treated, with kindness, patience, and care.

We are honorable in thought, word, and action.
Integrity is the true measure of our worth. We speak truth tempered by compassion, share ideas that uplift and inspire, and place honorable service and leadership above greed, wealth, or power.

We cherish freedom and personal choice.
Every background, faith, and tradition is welcome here. Instead of just accepting or being neutral, we are joyfully inclusive of all. We respect the freedom of each heart, recognizing all of us as beloved creations of the Divine. Our aim is loving coexistence for all people.

We hold sacred space and listen deeply.
When someone speaks, we listen completely without the distraction of creating a response. Every voice, each silence, and all hearts are honored without judgment. We protect the peace of our circle through presence, confidentiality, and reverence.

We walk in balance.
We seek harmony of body, mind, and spirit, honoring both rest and growth, stillness and movement, giving and receiving. We continually seek out new ideas of methods to bring more peace and balance to ourselves and our world.

We nourish community.
We share openly, contribute sincerely, and build bonds of trust, joy, and unity. We speak well of others and uplift those who need help. Through service and humility, we strengthen the circle that sustains us all.

We honor the Earth and all life.
Life is precious, and each person is a unique being. Stewardship guides each choice – to protect, uplift, and sustain the world around us for the next seven generations, and beyond.

We live with joy and gratitude.
We celebrate the gift of life, choosing to greet each day with gratitude and wonder. We acknowledge our responsibility in this matter and choose to actively practice the sacred medicine of thankfulness.

We live with dedication and heart.
With compassion, we follow our heart towards continual growth, harmony, and balance in all things, walking this path with humility, love, and light. Our goal is to brighten not just our own life, but those around us too.

Why do we choose the Sun as a symbol for the Divine Creator of all things?

The sun is not an object of worship, but a radiant symbol of the Divine—an eternal reminder of the Source that gives life, light, and understanding to all creation. Throughout history, many sacred traditions have spoken of light as the essence of the Divine.

The Sumerians described the Divine as Light—not merely physical light, but luminous beingness, the eternal radiance from which all creation flows. In ancient Egyptian wisdom, Thoth taught that illumination awakens consciousness. The Torah begins with the Divine command, “Let there be light,” revealing illumination as the first act of creation. Gnostic writings describe the inner spark, or light, as the soul’s remembrance of its heavenly origin. In Hinduism, the sun is honored as Surya, the visible form of the unseen Source, bringing vitality to all life. In Buddhism, enlightenment is awakening into the radiance of truth. And in the Aramaic words of the early Christians, “God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5)—a reflection of the same universal truth.

Across all these paths, light represents Divine presence—the eternal flame within every being, guiding us toward clarity, compassion, and unity with all that is. Since the sun is the object with the most light in our realm, it just makes sense that we use it as a symbol to represent a concept so vast and unexplainable as the Divine Creator of all things.
